The 4th largest city of Europe with a approx population of around 4.6 million people, Saint Petersburg continues to amaze tourist with its magnificent historical buildings.

The best way to start a tour of Saint Petersburg is with the Hermitage Museum and the winter palace containing millions of pieces of artistic masterpieces. The next most important stop at Saint Petersburg Is the – St. Peter and St. Paul’s Fortress, build to protect the city from foreign invasions. Saint Petersburg has an amazing number of cathedrals, the most famous among them includes the St. Isaac’s Cathedral which is one of the world’s largest domed cathedrals, and Church on Spilled Blood, another famous tourist spot is built on the assassination spot of Alexander II of Russia.

The other places of interest include Palace Square, Alexander Column, Catherine Palace, Yusupov Palace and the Peterhof Palace known for its legendary water fountains.
