Rio de Janeiro -The Marvelous City
It is the second largest city of Brazil famous mainly for its wonderful beaches, carnivals, and samba music.
A typical tour of Rio de Janeiro begins with a visit to the Corcodavo, where visitors can have a look of the famous Christ the Redeemer’s statue.
The lakes of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, provides an wonderful spot for tourists to relax an unwind, while the wild beaches of Barra da Tijuca, Ipaneman, Copacabana, are a favorite spot for party hoppers , or sea sport enthusiasts.
There are number of Museums depicting the colourful history of Rio De Janeiro past, notable among them are the Casa do Pontal,, Amsterdam Sauer Museum and the Museum of the Republic.
The other attractions include the Botanical Gardens, Maracana Stadium and the National War Monument and last but not the least a cruise ride to the Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Rio de Janeiro is famous for beach wears, and its various beaches offers wonderful options for beach wear shopping, the other shopping items include precious and semi-precious stones like, amethyst, aquamarine, topaz and tourmaline. Items like antiques, jwellery, and carpets are also famous with tourists.
